Every year, the San Diego High School ROTC cadets go to Admiral's Baker's Field where they meet, interact, and compete with cadets from the schools in the district. There, they compete against other schools in events such as: the Basketball Tournament, Tug-O-War, Bat Spin, etc. Cadets from the schools also help with the cooking of the food that will be served for lunch. There is a lot of energy and motivation within the schools and their teams.

To get prepared for the Cadet Picnic, the teams practice in order to be ready for the competition. The support and motivation from the team members and the rest of the Cadets, make the competitions enjoyable and a great experience to remember. Everyone is there to have fun and cheer each other on. The Cadets are always eager to return to the picnic in order to meet their friends and compete once more in the competitions.
